OmniFocus for the Web is now available. Here's a blurb from the Omni Group themselves:
“To get started using OmniFocus for the Web, visit our online store to start a free two-week trial. There are two options:
- OmniFocus Subscription ($9.99/month or $99.99/year): Gets you OmniFocus Pro for Mac, OmniFocus Pro for iOS, and OmniFocus for the Web. This is a great option for people who have not already purchased OmniFocus for Mac or iOS and would prefer to pay for everything with one simple subscription.
- Web Add-on subscription ($4.99/month or $49.99/year): Gets you OmniFocus for the Web. This is best for people who plan to purchase (or have already purchased) the native OmniFocus apps separately, minimizing ongoing subscription costs.
Please note that OmniFocus for the Web is not a standalone product: you will need to set up your OmniFocus database using OmniFocus 3 for Mac or OmniFocus 3 for iOS before you can start using the web service, and some features of the native apps (such as the Review perspective) are not currently available on the web.
Once you’ve started your two-week trial, go to web.omnifocus.com and log in with your Omni account — the one you use for syncing — to start using OmniFocus for the Web!”
The web version is useful for when you’re on a windows computer. It shows the Inbox, Projects, Tags, and Flags views.
I’m not on a windows computer much myself, so I won’t be able to say much about its use beyond this announcement. So, I leave it to the community to explore the venues opened. Check out the Learn OmniFocus blog post for an extended writeup of the features involved with OmniFocus for the web.
