The Power of Boredom

Boredom can feel scary. Some may even view it as an indictment against themselves, somehow a reflection of an empty life.

And so, we occupy ourselves with the next productivity tool, the next craft, the next interest.

To put it more bluntly, we run.

But, the trouble is not the boredom.  It is the running.

"Well I better act now and get rid of that feeling"

 

It's like the feeling is pesky, something to push away as we dive into another activity, often fueled by and further fueling some sense of urgency.

So how do we engage? What do we do when bored? How do still do taxes, laundry, and the dishes?  Must we?
