An Aside in Dream

When dreaming, we disconnect the sense of the external world and are instead left with a perception of the internal. Experience no longer flows between self and world, but rather grows and reflects upon itself.

Bizarreness and oddity are not even considered until returning to the harbor of wakefulness. Experience simply is.
Dream is sensed as an ephemeral illusion upon return, a sense reinforced as its mists are lifted by the day’s insisting presence. I am convinced, however, that we do change, grow, and become in the forgotten moments of sleep, subtly altering the waves and crests upon consciousness and action.

We cannot, however, rest in the romance believing our dreams to simply become realities of their own accord. Visions must be brought the bright focus of attention to materialize under guidance.
