I had the pleasure of talking with Jason Snell and David Sparks on their kick-butt podcast Free Agents. Free Agents is their way of thinking through the ins and outs of what goes into being an entrepreneur or solo practitioner in the world today.
Changes to the workplace have been ever present and fast. Gone are the days where you could just sign up to work for some company and they’d take care of you from then through retirement.
It may sound odd, but I’ve found the most stable position to be working for myself. At least that’s how I look at things for the moment.
But that’s part of being a free agent. I can shift when and where I think it would be a good idea.
