I am so bummed I never saw these guys play live:
As popular as Tom Petty was, I still somehow feel that he wasn't quite revered as he deserved. The songs he wrote were clear, concise, tight, and just all around excellent. The seeming simplicity of the song structures hid a depth of thought and feeling. RIP.
