If ever there were a reason for music, it rests somewhere in the realm of emotions. There’s something about this video that describes an honesty that would be difficult to convey in words. Much of therapeutic work and much of musical work stand alongside each other. Among other things, they are both attempts to understand the human condition.

Whenever someone thinks of emotions as somehow something “soft”, it is clear there hasn’t been a real understanding of what they are. Emotions are much more complex than “sad” or “happy” or whatever. Poets and artists spend many hours drafting and crafting crude representations of the emotional and hidden worlds. But when someone approaches an honest reflection of that world, it becomes obvious to anyone who cares to see or listen, as it reflects something within themselves as well.
